v1.03 (97/03/24) :

- Added functionality to easily allow the game to run on a multi-line BBS.
Only 1 node at a time can play, all other nodes are disabled from running
it. It's all very automatic. Look in SYSOP.TXT for more details.
v1.00 (96/03/04) :

v0.47 - v0.99 : Skipped to start shareware release at v1.00.
v0.46 (96/02/28) :
- Changed the length of time Criminals imprisoned. Now depends on their level.
- Added Domino, a new Easy Street criminal.
- Removed Days in Prison Config option. Now totally automatic and unalterable.
- Fixed typos {Raymond Fong, Gary Steinke, John Peterson}.
v0.45 (96/01/24) :
- Added a whole lote more random graffitti and increased it's frequency.
- Made some weapons and armour unsaleable if worthless.
- Crippled the coordinator options for the Shareware version.

v0.44 (96/01/13) :
- Finished creating the Instructions.
- Added Registration viewing routines to CAT's bulletins.
- Added more stat info about Exterminators in the city's History books.
- Changed the way Pull-tabs are displayed. No more tricky cursor positioning.
v0.43 (96/01/07) :
- Added the Shareware crippling routines. Many features unavailable in the
Shareware version and text support files can not be edited.
- Added a new type of gambling: pull-tabs.
- Added the game credits.
- Added a few more engame routines, just to keep it interesting.
v0.42 (96/01/01) :
- Added all the final endgame routines, including the city's Crimelord.
- Added some interactiveness to the random NPC graffitti. Occasionally
replies to some name already on the graffitti list.
- Fixed a bug sometimes using the wrong sex of people in combat.
- Fixed some typos and general little mistakes {Gary Steinke}.
v0.41 (95/12/19) :
- Added new drinks to the inns: Broken Glass, Fuzzy Orifice, Mystery Machine.
- Changed the "Black Razors" to the "Dark Razors".
- Added the rest of the High-School NPCs.
- Fixed some typos {Brad Vrecko} and added more direction defaults.
v0.40 (95/11/26) :
- Added the City Center Tower, NPCs, and weapons.
- Added a quick way to disable whores. Could be nicer, easier, but it works.
- Fixed a formatting bug when displaying exterminators with >1000 kills.
- Fixed a bug disallowing dispatch combat being hand-to-hand or aggressive.
- Fixed a bug skipping log counts during dispatch combat, so long fight
notices were sometimes not appearing.
- Fixed a bug where a couple of CAT's maps were mixed {Brad Vrecko}.
- Fixed a bug where NEXTDAY files were emptied rather than deleted when
removing players from the game. (ooh, there's a big one)
- Fixed some location and NPC description typos {Marty Anstey, Russell Weeks}.
v0.39 (95/10/24) :
- Majorly reworked most of the combat routines.
- Made larger warning notices when medkits running out {Gary Steinke}.
v0.38a (95/09/21) :
- Made quoting "> COMMENTS TO DESIGNER" automatic in exiting auto-message.
- Fixed a bug displaying header when listing criminals and not continuing.
v0.38 (95/09/16) :
- Added the ability to selectively quote lines when replying to messages.
- Added criminals putting bounties on exterminators as they catch big ones.
- Added a total for TKers when viewing the mutant power popularity from CAT.
- Added the North Medial Parkway map to CAT's library so people can see the
Madonna Apartments, and everything else up there, more clearly.
- Added some more criminal graffiti.
- Rewrote the High Hit List routines to be faster and to disallow people
from being in the list more than once.
v0.37 (95/08/04) :
- Included the almost complete downtown expert section of the city, including
all of the locations, maps, criminals, and equipment.
- Added a count of hits(normal, great, critical) made during combat.
- Added high-score list for # of hits made in a fight.
- Added the feature that TK'ers can detect other TK'ers before a fight.
- Added a new drink for inns: the Flaming Zombie.
- Added hot-keys for listing items in shops, if not entering an item # in.
- Changed dispatch weapon-choosing routine to be slightly more intelligent.
- Added new maps to CAT map library and added a header above each.
- Fixed a bug when displaying critical combat hits, using wrong sex.
- Fixed a bug when buying express healing. If you didn't have enough money,
it would say you didn't need any healing.
- Fixed a typo with the medkits in the application routines {Gary Steinke}.
- Fixed a bug when new characters are applying. A "Word on the Street" msg
was being displayed saying they were inactive when they only just started.
- Fixed a bug in the character editting routines when changing a character's
experience amount. Could not enter "long int" numbers.
v0.36 (95/08/17) :
- Added a new type of location, a brothel, and the ability to have sex with
the prostitutes there. (Datafile no longer compatbile, reset old games!)
- Added a place to buy detailed information on any exterminator or criminal.
- Added a routine to give players a few extra fights if they miss a day.
- Fixed a bug in the combat routines when stating to a player in the
NEXTDAY file where they were killed {Dee Murray}.
- Fixed a major bug when fighting an exterminator in an Inn room. If fight
lost, player wasn't kicked out of the game {Gary Steinke}.
- Changed the generic exterminator text routines to use sex of exterminator.
- Changed the pre-combat routines to use a player's charisma and level more,
and added chance of getting in a fight even if [L]eaving {Gary Steinke}.
- Fixed a bug when resetting the game, criminals weren't completely reset.
- Added the ability to do a full, continuous run from combat if desired.
- Fixed a new bug recently introduced in combat routines that was making
laser and tk armour useless.
- Altered combat routines to not offer animal weapons and armour when killed.
- Put in more points to save data after specific events (ie: drinks, etc).
- Made the random graffiti time much longer before kicking in.
- Added some new weapons (Blazer II, Blazer III).
- Added a few more random graffiti quotes.
- Fixed a typo on the Karameikos Castle map {Gary Steinke}.
- Made 20 fights per day the standard.
- Made the standard experience loss 10% when killed.
v0.35 (95/08/01) :
- Added a new voting booth to get more info from players at logoff.
- Changed the random graffiti routines to store the next random graffiti time,
not the current time and rolling the next from it all the time.
- Added a few more random graffiti quotes.
v0.34b (95/07/31) :
- Still wasn't fast enough! Rewrote the code again to speed up the criminal
list from CAT. Now blazingly fast.
- Fixed a typo on the Karameikos Cave map.
v0.34a (95/07/29) :
- Rewrote still more code to speed up the criminal list from CAT.
v0.34 (95/07/27) :
- Added some new code to speed up listing criminals from CAT.
- Reworked the random graffiti to liven things up when they slow down a bit.
- Moved all of the supporting files into proper directories.
- Changed room prices for the inns.
v0.33 (95/07/25) :
- Finished the rest of Median Parkway, including descriptions and criminals.
- Added a new feature so CAT shows how often a criminal has been caught.
- Added a default so that unknown equipment in descriptions is ignored.
- Fixed some typos in criminal descriptions {Gary Steinke}.
- Added a new 'drop gear' feature in the options.
- Made combat just about impossible for super-tired players. Death likely.
- Fine-tuned the healing routines more: medkits cheaper, more color, etc.
- Fine-tuned the Black Jack routines more: added new rules {John Bruce}.
- Fixed some text screw-ups in the Russian Roulette routines {Gary Steinke}.
- Fixed some description typos {John Gerwing}.
v0.32 (95/07/22) :
- Added the castle map to CAT's library.
- Fixed some mistakes in the maps made last version {Gary Steinke}.
- Added a 'restore default options' parameter to the on-line config menu.
- Removed two of the 'no longer applicable' sysop/coordinator log options.
v0.31 (95/07/21) :
- Added default directions to some normal locations.
- Added the 'again' option to message prompt to reread a message.
- Fixed a very weird freaky memory bug in the message routines.
- Fixed some of the damage levels for combat with fists.
- Fixed some bad logic in dispatch combat movement.
- Reformatted 'additional' bounty file and put it in HDATA. Mucho faster now.
- Fixed a bug when a player was completely removed from the game, it wasn't
removing the player's 'additional' bounty, if any {John Gerwing}.
- Fixed a small bug when adding bounty to a criminal then cancelling it.
- Altered the way NPCs are put in prison again. Even better now. Ooh.
- Moved data files for the current game into a new directory: HDATA.
- Added warning prompts when entering or exiting different area to hopefully
prevent new exterminators from going the wrong way.
- Made the criminal escape time a little more random.
- Increased the amount of experience needed to go up levels.
- Added the ability to config the game on-line.
v0.30 (95/07/10) :
- Fixed some typos in NPC file and made some of the NPCs more challenging.
- Made the coloring of NPC text automatic. Now standard throughout and
easier to create.
- Rewrote the NPC imprisonment routines. Now much faster.
- Moved the NPC texts into their own directory: HNPCS.
- Added comment lines to the config file (HCONFIG.TXT).
v0.29 (95/07/07) :
- Fine tuned a few of the game numbers to make things more challenging.
- Fixed a bug so that sometimes after a player lose in combat, you weren't
really killed.
- Changed max medkits from 50 to 30 to increase anxiousness about running out.
- Tweaked the combat size-up routines to be a lot more acurate.
- Added a prompt for similar names when asked for an exterminator name.
- Wrote some new code to automatically highlight directions and choices in
location descriptions and non-interactive npc talk text {John Bruce}.
v0.28 (95/07/05) :
- Added a new CAT feature letting players have access to various city maps.
- Made certain no integers inputted can be too large.
- Moved some related files to their own dirs instead of just cluttering up.
- Fixed a stupid mistake I made in the character creation routines a day ago.
v0.27 (95/07/04) :
- Added critical hits and dexterity dependent movement to the combat routines.
- Added some check routines to continuous dispatch killing. Now checking
for carrier, and checking for a keypress {John Bruce}.
- Revamped the player creation routines to check for duplicate NPC names also.
- Fixed some bugs in the equipment buying and selling routines {Brad Vrecko}.
- Fixed some old text colors and prompts to look like the new, current style.
v0.26 (95/06/29) :
- Improved the CAT Dossier retrieval system by skipping a menu and
automatically looking to see if name is an exterminator or criminal.
- Created a new kind of shop for locating exterminator or criminals.
- Revamped the locating routine for TK-Locate and the new shop.
- Wrote a new text outputting routine to automatically put in C/Rs and L/Fs
when needed close to the 80th column.
- Put a little CAT warning in when players go from Easy street to Medial Road
so they don't accidentily wander into a harder section.
- Flushed input after a fight so if a user is holding down a key, like 'R'
for 'Run', it won't buffer the keys and undesirably execute them later.
- Fixed some small typos in the NPC descriptions.
v0.25 (95/06/26) :
- Rewrote most of the graffiti routines to use a new format and to have some
random chatter from the NPCs appear occasionally.
- Created the "Bio-Med Labs" section of the city including NPCs.
- Fixed some typos with the character and location descriptions.
- Fixed a bug with the new saving routines and deleting characters when
they're inactive.
v0.24 (95/06/24) :
- Sped up the saving of data by saving only modified characters.
- Added a new function to flush input keystrokes for certain prompts.
- Fixed up a few typos in descriptions.
v0.23 (95/06/21) :
- Added the ability to quote messages in a reply.
- Fixed some little bugs in the message writing stuff.

- Created a new CAT Bulletin to display the current mutant power dispersment
among exterminators.
- Created the "Fall-Out Shelter" section of the city including NPCs.
- Fixed a bug in the CAT criminal list that would make criminals who's names
started with > "U" not appear.
- Fixed a bug in the CAT lists that would occasionally display a list's
header more than once a screen.
- Reworked the CAT exterminator list to show # of losses/defeats.
- Added the ability to sort CAT exterminator list by losses/defeats.
- Removed handedness from CAT criminal list.
v0.21 (95/05/27) :
- Reworked the CAT criminal list to show who caught imprisoned ones.
- Fixed a bug in the comment leaving routines.
- Revamped the Find-A-Fight routine to always find the permanent NPCs over
the random ones, if there is a non-incarcerated permanent NPC at a local.
- Created the northern "hard" section of the city including NPCs.
- Fixed some typos in the city descriptions.
- Fixed some mistakes in the NPC statistics {Kevin Neuman}.
v0.20 (95/05/12) :
- Added new sorting algo's for displaying criminals.
- Added a few more sorts for displaying all exterminators.
- Changed logoff message to display inacitivty period.

- Fixed a bug when choosing a name, can use the name of a dead character.

even if cancelled.

- Fixed a bug when deleting all of an exterminators messages when they
commit suicide. If there were no messages, a "File Not Found" message
would appear.
- Fixed a bug when writing messages. If the person it was "To:" is unknown
or doesn't exist, you could still write the message.
v0.08 (95/04/06) :
- Altered method of assigning new skill points.
v0.07 (95/04/05) :
- Added ability to send messages to "all" exterminators.
v0.06 (95/04/04) :
- Added a message-base system between exterminators.
- Colored a lot of the keys to press on prompt lines.
- Added new get_who_name_all() function to allow users to choose "all".
- Changed some of the colors in the get_text() routine.
- Created checks to make sure the MESSAGES and NEXTDAY directories exist.
v0.05 (95/02/24) :
- Fixed a humorous typo in text when attacking Frogman {Kevin Neuman}.
- Fixed sex strings displayed during combat {Kevin Neuman}.

- Fixed a bug in the reset game function, the BOUNTY file was not being reset.
- Moved the graffiti menu from the Options menu to the CAT menu.
- Fixed some typos in the HHOTEL.CUR file for the Niagra Hotel {Jason Lohner}.
- Changed some names of places in the HHOTEL.CUR file for the Niagra Hotel
and also in the HSTORE.CUR file for the empty Chock Full O' Nuts store.
(NOTE: any user who stopped in there will find themselves automatically sent
back to the starting place because their current loc will be undefined!)
